Flowers instead of rubbish
“Flowers instead of rubbish” is the name of an outstanding campaign by the Environmental Foundation ARKA which we joined in 2021. The project is aimed to encourage two activities: a) to collect rubbish which contaminates our forests and mountain trails and b) to plant bee-friendly flowers. Our part was to set up a Facebook competition, invite a few bloggers to join in and employ our team spirit to collectively clear the neighbouring green areas.
Bike helps
We have always believed that when you do things together, you can achieve much more. That is why we were incredibly happy to join the “Bike helps” campaign. Its rules are quite straightforward and beautiful: those who join in, go cycling and all kilometres they cover are registered on the campaign’s website. As soon as the campaign ends – thanks to the sponsors – the kilometres covered are turned into bikes as gifts for kids in orphanages. Our Team did its best whilst cycling and was happy to fund quite a few bikes.
4Ocean
Have you ever heard of bracelets made of waste? Moreover, if you buy one, your purchase will lead to as much as 0.5 kg of rubbish getting removed from our oceans. When we found out about the project by the 4Ocean organisation which aims to rid our oceans of plastic waste, we knew we had to contribute! Along with a few bloggers we set up an education-promotion campaign for these lovely bracelets to find their new owners.
Bags for recyclables
How to encourage people to segregate the waste so that it could get recycled? Easy – give them something in return. The “Bags for recyclables” campaign by Environmental Foundation ARKA was designed to hand out cloth bags and seedlings. The campaign has been extremely popular among all those willing to hand in glass, cans or wastepaper! We love the idea as well and as part of our contribution we sponsored a large number of the bags. They are gorgeous!
Vegan Time
Vegan diet is surrounded by lots of myths: expensive, time consuming, unhealthy. However, we have failed to recognise that a plant-based diet is not only about its ethical side but environmental as well, for the production of meat negatively impacts our planet. Along with the Cono Sur brand and a bunch of bloggers we have made a decision to knock the stereotypes on the head and prove that vegan dishes could be delicious, colourful and nutritious.
